Wilami Wunmabil Trail

A Wurundjeri-led experiential trail along a re-naturalised section of Moonee Ponds Creek showcasing the cultural and ecological significance of the waterway. With interpretive planning by Kelp Creative, the trail honours Moonee Ponds Creek as a place deeply connected to Wurundjeri people – lived in, cared for, and celebrated across generations.
Through a thoughtful blend of signage, artwork, and digital media, the trail invites visitors to engage with Wurundjeri culture and history. Guided by the voices of Elders and knowledge holders, it encourages deeper understanding, connection, and care for Country.
Co-designed with Wurundjeri Elders.
