South Melbourne Primary School

In close collaboration with the School’s Principal, the project architect and engaged members of the local community, we developed the SMPS logo and secondary logo assets including school initials, and school values tag line.

We again worked with the leadership team and architects to develop ‘habitats’ for each level of the vertical school. Starting with the ocean at ground level, then moving through river, grasslands, rainforest, alpine, right up to sunshine. The habitat themes are the basis for wayfinding and architectural graphics throughout the building.

Each habitat is colour-coded, with theme colours appearing in wayfinding signage, throughout graphic murals applied to glazing, and within furnishings specified by the architects.
